New Vehicle Data – The 2025 Cadillac XT4 is an SUV that debuts next year. Subcompact luxury SUVs like the XT4 offer upscale features and feel at a reasonable price point and in a small size. At least most of them do. While the XT4 has plenty of room for passengers and cargo, it’s never been a class standout, and the current model will have been on the market for six years by 2025. This would be a time for many cars for a complete makeover, but Cadillac is making relatively modest improvements this year.
What’s New for 2025?
Cadillac has already dropped the base model of its predecessor, leaving only the Premium Luxury as the new entry-level model for 2025. The active safety suite that was previously available is now standard on all model levels, bringing adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a surround-view camera system, among other features.

What about availability? The 2025 Cadillac XT4 is a luxury SUV with a new look and classy features. With a launch date of early 2025, the Cadillac XT4 starts at $41,990 for the base trim model. The Premium Luxury and Sport models are around the same price, but because the former does not live up to its name and the latter is more enjoyable to drive, we recommend the XT4 Sport. However, if you go for the larger model, you can expect to pay $42,790. We expect the Cadillac XT4 to hit showrooms during April and May 2025.

When can I see it?
Redesign Concept
When it comes to design, we only have a few details so far. Cadillac has updated the exterior of the 2025 XT4 with a new front end and modified LED lighting elements, giving it a style similar to the larger XT6 SUV. In addition, there are updates to the front, there are also new wheel styles, and some modifications to the rear of the XT4.

When it comes to the cabin, the 2025 Cadillac XT4 has a pleasant and roomy cabin, but it’s not as luxurious as we’ve come to expect in this luxury segment. The Cadillac’s dashboard and upper door panels are well laid out. The controls and switches appear to be the same as other low-priced products in the General Motors lineup.

The room is generous in the upper seats and adequate in the back seat. The Cadillac XT4’s cargo area is as large as the passenger compartment. The Volvo XC40, which can carry 23 items of luggage, is worth considering if you’re looking for a small SUV that can haul cargo like a larger SUV.

A 235-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers all Cadillac XT4 2025. It comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2019 XT4 Sport we tested reached 60 mph in a disappointing 7.8 seconds. Despite this, the XT4 felt quick around town and on the highway. Ignore Cadillac’s claim that the XT4 is sporty. It’s more of a cruiser than a sports SUV.
The ride remains comfortable so long as the road is generally flat, but uneven stretches of asphalt transmit a lot of vibrations and abrupt impacts into the interior, especially when equipped with the optional 20-inch wheels. The steering is also disappointing, as it is neither pleasant nor straight in its action. The XT4’s one definitive control is its braking systems, which brought our test car down from 70 mph in our emergency braking test in 172 feet thanks to just one of the firmest brake pedals we’ve seen.

What Are the Real-World MPGs? The XT4 earns completely standard EPA fuel-economy numbers, with front-wheel drive models reaching 30 mpg on the interstate despite its fuel-saving cylinder deactivation. Our all-wheel-drive test vehicle only managed 27 of the EPA-rated 29 mpg in our real-world highway fuel-economy test.
