New Design
For the design, as far as we know, it is a little bit different. Honda designers have changed the shape of the new 2026 Passport’s newer look. Engine, Performance & Transmission
The only available powertrain is a Honda 3.5-liter V-6 with 285 horsepower and a 10-speed automated transmission. Peak torque of 262 pound-feet occurs at a very high 5000 rpm. If those figures sound familiar, that’s because the Pilot SUV uses the same engine and transmission.

Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system will make its Passport premiere in 2026. The torque-vectoring system is said to deliver 30% faster reaction than the previous arrangement and has a stronger rear drive unit with 40% greater torque capability than the prior design.

The 2026 Honda Passport’s maximum towing capability of 5000 pounds is unaltered. However, the Hyundai Santa Fe’s 35000-pound capacity is inferior than the Chevy Blazer’s 4500-pound maximum. Trailer hitches with seven-pin connectors are standard on TrailSport versions.
2026 Honda Passport Interior
As previously stated, the new Passport is essentially a downsized Pilot based on the same chassis and engine. Despite the lack of a third-row seat, the Passport shares many similarities with the Pilot—which is excellent. Like its bigger predecessor, the Passport demonstrates Honda’s ability to package interior space and storage. Both rows of seats provide considerable headroom and legroom, and the steering column’s wide range of adjustability provides an ergonomic driving posture. Honda’s push-button shifter takes some getting used to, but its flat design contributes to a more spacious interior.
A plethora of pockets, nooks, and bins surround the cottage. The center console has a large open area in front of it. Honda admits that the Passport’s interior door panels are the same as its Pilot cousin, which includes several storage compartments for necessities. Both front seatbacks feature large storage pockets as standard, with the more expensive Passport version adding smaller compartments under the headrests.
The dashboard has easy, dependable physical knobs and buttons for temperature adjustments, rather than a digital version, which is becoming increasingly uncommon in modern automobiles. Again, this panel is available in the Pilot and is identical to that seen in other Honda vehicles, but it works so well that having it here is a plus.
